EduRepay ("we", "us") is responsible for edurepay.com. This page describes the data we handle and the control you have over it. The summary: your loan balance, income, family size and interest rate never leave your device, because that is where the calculation runs.

Which tool this covers

EduRepay is a student loan repayment calculator that compares monthly payments under the Standard, SAVE, PAYE, IBR and refinancing options and estimates forgiveness and interest saved. It applies each plan's own formula — income-driven plans scale the payment to discretionary income while Standard and refinancing use a fixed amortisation schedule — then accumulates interest and forgiveness over the repayment term. Everything below concerns that specific calculation and the values it involves, and nothing beyond it.

Everything the tool works with — your loan balance, income, family size and interest rate — is handled locally. It is usually reached for things like checking whether a lower monthly payment costs more overall, and because nothing is transmitted a visitor can close the tab knowing no copy was made anywhere.

The inputs you provide

The tool runs entirely client-side. What you type is used locally and only locally: there is no server round-trip, no log line, and no record kept anywhere but on your own screen for as long as the page is open.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not store what you enter, there is usually no personal data to produce — but you are welcome to ask.

Updates to this page

The policy is kept current with the site. When something material changes, the date at the top is updated so the revision is visible.

Information collected as you browse

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process the basic technical information needed to deliver a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding which tools are used, and is never joined to anything you type into the tool.

Cookies and advertising

The only cookie we set ourselves is a small preference flag for the consent notice. Advertising is served by third parties, and those partners may place their own cookies to tailor the ads you see. You can refuse or clear them in your browser without losing any functionality — the tool itself has no dependency on cookies.

How we measure usage

Usage statistics, when collected, are anonymous and aggregated. They tell us which pages are useful; they do not identify you and they never include your input to the calculator.

Sensitive financial inputs

Amounts, interest rates, balances and income figures are treated as ordinary input. They are used only to produce the answer on screen; they are never logged, transmitted or shared, and closing the tab discards them.

Storage, security and how long things last

There is nothing of yours to keep, so there is no retention period to describe for calculator input: it exists only in your browser tab and disappears when you leave. The site is served over HTTPS throughout.

Children

EduRepay provides general-purpose tools and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
